Self Defense

The Gracie Self Defense system has been tested and proven over and over again. Students at Anzelone Jiu-Jitsu learn self defense techniques that are applicable in a wide variety of scenarios.

Competition

Many of the self defense techniques we study are invaluable in a competition scenario. A selection of these techniques are reviewed on a regular basis to ensure that our students are as prepared as possible for competition.

Women and Children

Women and children can present unique scenarios when it comes to self defense. At Anzelone Jiu-Jitsu, we have customized a program to make it easier to introduce our self defense system to younger and/or smaller individuals.

General Application

The self defense techniques we teach at Anzelone Jiu-Jitsu are applicable in a wide variety of situations. These are techniques that are practical and effective regardless of your size or strength.

Competition Training

Our academy is owned and operated by Vincent and Krista Anzelone, co-founders of the FUJI Jiu-Jitsu Competition Series. FUJI BJJ is one of the largest competition series in the world, hosting almost 150 competitions yearly in just about every city in the United States.

We have organized and coordinated literally hundreds of competitions since 2012 as well as being competitors ourselves. Additionally, Vincent Anzelone is responsible for writing the proprietary registration, bracketing and scoring software used by FUJI BJJ which gives our academy a unique insight into jiu-jitsu competitions.

Fitness

Promoting physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle is one of the main goals of Anzelone Jiu-Jitsu. In addition to our mat space for jiu-jitsu we maintain a small workout area where we combine a number of different training methods to help you achieve the highest level of fitness possible.

Your overall level of fitness is not measured by a number on your scale! At Anzelone Jiu-Jitsu we focus on healthy, safe, practical training methods to increase your fitness level. This is achieved through a variety of activities:
